What is the Duplicate Envelope feature?
The Duplicate Envelope feature is exactly as its name suggests: a simple, time-saving tool that allows you to easily create a copy of any envelope you’ve already set up. Instead of starting from scratch each time you need a new document, you can just hit the duplicate button, tweak the details, and you’re good to go.
The benefits of duplicating envelopes:
- Save hours of time: For repetitive or recurring documents, the Duplicate Envelope feature eliminates the need to recreate envelopes from scratch. This feature works alongside our other time saving solution – Templates!
- Consistency across documents: Since you’re duplicating an existing envelope, it ensures accuracy and consistency in document setup, avoiding the possibility of errors from manual re-entry.
- Stay on top of changes: Last minute revision to your contract? Small adjustment to the moving in date of your tenant? No problem! Simply duplicate the envelope, make the necessary edits, and send again in just a few clicks, no need to start from scratch. (You’re welcome!)
How it works:
- Locate the envelope: Head to your Signable account and find the envelope you want to duplicate. This can be an envelope which is completed, or in “Draft” status.
- Select duplicate: Click on the three dots in the top right hand corner of your selected envelope. You’ll notice a “Duplicate” option—simply click it, and a copy of the envelope will be generated.
- Make adjustments: Tweak any details you need to, such as the envelope title, recipient information, or the documents included, and it’s ready to send.

Enhanced timezone options: what’s new?
We know our customers span the globe, and with that comes the need for timezone flexibility. That’s why we’ve made some powerful tweaks to our timezone options. Now, you can specify your own timezone within your Signable account, ensuring the date and time on your PDF certificate matches your local time.
This change will reflect across your audit trails, making your document history even more precise and reliable.
Why this matters:
- Localised audit trail: When you specify your timezone, the audit trail for your envelope automatically adjusts to reflect your local time. No more converting times in your head!
- Compliance and trust: Accurate documentation is essential for compliance. Now your records are detailed down to the exact minute, in the correct timezone.
How to adjust timezone settings:
- Navigate to your company settings: Head to “Company Settings” in your Signable account and select “Preferences”.
- Select your timezone: Under the “Timezone” section, simply select the timezone most relevant to you from the dropdown. Your changes will be saved automatically. All PDF certificates and audit trails will now reflect your selected timezone.
